Dr. Martin Giniger

Dr. Giniger practices on Park Avenue in New York City, the aesthetic dentistry capital of the world. He graduated with highest honors from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry in 1980, and completed a GP residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Following his residency Dr. Giniger went on to earn a prestigious specialty certificate in Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.

He is considered to be the world’s leading authority in the formulation of over-the-counter dental products and teeth whitening preparations. Furthermore, because Dr. Giniger’s world-leading knowledge-base comes from developing America’s most popular dental and oral health products, He also has an impressive track record as expert witness at the national level. In fact, Dr. Giniger has never been on the losing side of any legal matter he has been involved in.

Research and Development
Dr. Giniger has 21 years of experience working for oral care companies and 25 years working as a dentist. He has a special interest in “rapid penetrating” and “effervescent foaming” oral care products and has published several manuscripts relating to this topic.

He has worked full time for many oral care and dental products companies. Of note, he has worked full time for Colgate-Palmolive Company, the world’s largest consumer oral care company. He has also worked, or consulted for Go Smile, Procter & Gamble, Church & Dwight, BriteSmile, Discus Dental and many others. Over the years Dr. Giniger has helped to develop many new oral care and dental products for commercial sale and they have sold more than $10 billion dollars in aggregate for the companies he developed them for. He also currently performs contract clinical research for the world’s largest companies.

Honors
Dr. Giniger is the recipient of many awards and accolades including the prestigious NIH Physician-Scientist Award and many other scientific grants. He was also the recipient of the Lester Burkett Award from the Academy of Oral Medicine for excellence in that sub-specialty of dentistry and has been awarder membership in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and fellowship in the the International College of Dentistry.

Moreover, Dr. Martin Giniger has been employed by the United States of America Federal Trade Commission to serve as lead expert witness in all oral care and dental related litigation, In this capacity, Dr. Giniger along with a team of Attorneys from the US Justice Department, won a landmark verdict in June, 2011 in the matter of the United States of America versus the North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners.

Dr. Giniger’s academic positions have included Professor of Physiology at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, Assistant Professor of Oral Medicine at the Louisiana State University School of Dental Medicine, Director of the Medical Blood Chemistry Laboratory at Louisiana State University School of Dental Medicine, Clinical Scholar at the University of Connecticut, Director of the Division of Diagnostic Sciences at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and Director of the Department of Community Services at UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School.

Dr. Giniger has authored numerous articles and is frequently interviewed by dental journals and consumer magazines; has appeared numerous times on the covers of several widely-read dental journals in the USA and has appear as a guest commentator on many local television news stations.
